Yamirah’s Solar Explorers – featuring Yamirah Gercke on guitar, Sacha Hladiy on piano, and Ria Rother on drums – is a young trio set to release its debut album Andromeda Galaxy on January 30, 2026. Get ready for a cinematic indie-jazz journey like no other.
Guitarist Yamirah Gercke specializes in cinematic jazz-pop compositions. She graduated from the Berklee College of Music in her hometown of Boston and went on to release her own records, Neighbors and Pressure(honored by the Indie Visions Film Festival). Her extensive experience stems from her close collaboration with her late father Lenjes Robinsonin the band project Bad Ass Freaks, as well as from numerous other collaborations. With her own label, Fat Banshee Records, she is pioneering within the indie scene and is dedicated to supporting emerging talent.
Piano virtuoso Sacha Hladiy received his musical training at the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris. A devoted lover of jazz piano, he blends experimental and contemporary styles in his solo albums, often intertwining them with classical elements. With his beloved Nord Stage, he also takes over the bass lines in Yamirah’s Solar Explorers, creating rich and diverse sonic landscapes.
Drummer Ria Rother studied in Leipzig and Porto under mentors such as Holger Nell, Heinrich Köbberling, Werner Neumann, Michael Lauren, and Richie Beirach. In Berlin’s jazz scene, she is a sought-after member of ensembles of all sizes — equally at home in a big band or a free-form duo. Within Yamirah’s Solar Explorers, her versatile playing forms the foundation for smooth and flowing grooves.

Gitarristin Yamirah Gercke hat sich auf filmische Jazz-Pop-Kompositionen spezialisiert. Sie absolvierte das Berklee College of Music in ihrer Geburtsstadt Boston und veröffentlichte anschließend ihre eigenen Platten "Neighbors" und "Pressure" (vom Indie Visions Film Festival ausgezeichnet). Ihr großer Erfahrungsschatz speist sich aus der intensiven Zusammenarbeit mit ihrem inzwischen verstorbenen Vater Lenjes Robinson im Bandprojekt „Bad Ass Freaks“ sowie einer Vielzahl an weiteren Kollaborationen. Klaviervirtuose Sacha Hladiy durchlief seine musikalische Ausbildung an der Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris. Er liebt das Jazzpiano und vermischt in seinen Solo-Alben experimentelle und zeitgenössische Stile, die er oft mit klassischen Elementen kombiniert. Mit seinem geliebten Nord Stage übernimmt er bei „Yamirah‘s Solar Explorers“ auch die Basslinien und lässt vielfältige Klanglandschaften entstehen.
Schlagzeugerin Ria Rother hat in Leipzig und Porto unter der Anleitung von Mentoren wie Holger Nell, Heinrich Köbberling, Werner Neumann, Michael Lauren und Richie Beirach studiert. In der Berliner Jazz-Welt ist sie gern gehörter Teil von ganz verschiedenen Ensembles jeder Größenordnung. Sie kann sowohl Big Band als auch Free-Duo. Bei „Yamirah’s Solar Explorers“ ist ihr variantenreiches Spiel die Grundlage für geschmeidige Grooves.
